Following the initial development of Stansted Airport we were instrumental in achieving settlements due to diminution in value as a result of airport noise in locations previously considered too far to be eligible, as a result of which national acclaim by television, radio and the press was received. The firm has worked for Local Authorities and charities in this regard.
Another facet of the firm's expertise is the availability of expert testimony. This can be either in terms of building or boundary disputes, or by way of advising parties in relation to allegedly negligent survey, valuation and other related issues and can include the preparation of an expert report, attendance with solicitors and counsel, the provision of an expert opinion and ultimately trial attendance if necessary.
Compensation due to fire, flood and impact damage are further areas where our buildings expertise can prove useful, this to include assessing the loss and negotiating with insurers, arranging to have repairs and damage made good including obtaining necessary consents, preparing drawings and building schedules, obtaining tenders and monitoring work on site to return the building back to its former condition.
